Navigating New Horizons: My Career Transition and What’s Next
I wanted to share some personal news with the Virtually Caffeinated community. As many of you may have heard, VMware’s Professional Services Organization (PSO) recently underwent significant changes following the KKR acquisition, particularly affecting the End-User Computing (EUC) division. Along with many talented colleagues, I was part of this transition. After an incredible journey at VMware, it’s time for a new chapter. For those who might be new here, I’ve been running this blog for over a decade. Virtually Caffeinated has been my platform for sharing technical insights, troubleshooting tips, and deep dives into virtualization and cloud technology. What started as a simple technical blog has grown into a vibrant community where IT professionals and enthusiasts from around the world come together to solve problems and share knowledge.
1. Reflecting on My Time at VMware
My time at VMware has been nothing short of transformative. Working in the PSO EUC division, I had the privilege of tackling some of the most complex technical challenges in enterprise IT. From helping organizations modernize their desktop infrastructure to implementing cutting-edge virtualization solutions, every day brought new opportunities to innovate and make a real impact.
The experiences I’ve had and the relationships I’ve built have been invaluable. I’ve worked alongside brilliant minds, learned from incredible mentors, and had the chance to help countless organizations transform their IT infrastructure. While this particular chapter is closing sooner than expected due to the recent organizational changes, I’m incredibly grateful for every moment of it.
2. Continuing the Mission of Virtually Caffeinated
One of the most rewarding aspects of running Virtually Caffeinated has been the opportunity to connect with readers who rely on this blog for solutions to technical challenges. Even though I’ve transitioned from VMware, my commitment to providing reliable and practical content remains steadfast.

Moving forward, I plan to broaden the scope of Virtually Caffeinated to include topics that reflect not only my past expertise but also my aspirations for the future. Expect to see discussions on:

3. Embracing Change: A Time for Growth
Transitions, though challenging, are moments of profound opportunity. Over the past few months, I’ve had the chance to reassess my goals, reevaluate my skills, and explore new possibilities. In a rapidly advancing tech landscape, change is the only constant, and I am eager to embrace this as an opportunity to grow and contribute in new and meaningful ways.
To fellow professionals who may also be navigating career transitions, I encourage you to view change not as a setback but as an invitation to explore uncharted territory. Reflect on your achievements, identify your strengths, and think critically about the unique value you bring to the table.
4. Looking Ahead: Exploring New Opportunities
As I look ahead, I am actively seeking opportunities where I can leverage my expertise in cloud architecture, virtualization, and IT infrastructure. My goal is to join a team where I can contribute to solving complex technical challenges, drive innovation, and support organizations in achieving their digital transformation objectives.
